  • President, Legal Nurses OnLine® and MedXperts.com™ and Legal Nurses™
  • Initiated the nation's first online referral service of medical experts and medical consultants, available internationally, to assist attorneys, engineer accident reconstructionists, private investigators and other non-medical experts, with the medical aspects of their legal cases. This referral service also locates medical experts for medical publishers and speakers for medical conferences, internationally.

  • Consulted with Defense and Plaintiff attorneys, a U.S. Attorney, a private employer, expert witness accident reconstruction engineers, private investigators and private citizens in the following types of cases:  medical malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death, product liability, psychiatric injury, workers' compensation, insurance fraud, death investigations, sexual assault, criminal defense cases, and homicide v. suicide investigations.
  • Consulted with and assisted in the Discovery process with a United States Attorney, multiple City Prosecutors' offices, individual attorneys, law firms, an international medical publisher, foreign medical conference planners, foreign physicians, medical experts, foreign Counselors and Barristers for the following purposes:
  • Assisted a U.S. Attorney, in pre-trial and during trial, as a legal nurse consultant on a prolonged government contract.
  • Consulted with Mosby, Inc., an international publisher, on a book:  Surefire Documentation: How, What, and When Nurses Need to Document, 1999, Mosby, Inc., U.S.A, London, Milan, Sydney, Tokyo, Toronto.
  • Provided consultations to a private investigator regarding the medical aspects of multiple long term disability fraud cases.
  • Assisted a private employer in the discovery of a fraudulent claim in a Workers Compensation case.
  • Reviewed and summarized medical and psychiatric records for the medical facts in the areas of my nursing capacity.
  • Analyzed and cross-referenced autopsies, depositions, interrogatories, police, fire, state and Independent Medical Examiners' reports of plaintiffs and defendants involved in litigation, at all levels of Civil and Criminal litigation in City, State and Federal jurisdictions.
  • Located and interviewed international medical experts for their case-specific expertise for attorneys, Barristers and non-medical experts (Accident Reconstructionists, Private Investigators and Safety Engineers).

  • UCSB Summer Internships with Senator Gary K. Hart and Santa Barbara County Supervisor Tom Rogers.
  • Researched and responded to constituent inquiries at the state and county levels by phone, computer, letter and in person.
  • Represented Senator Hart before the County Board of Supervisors, advocating the passage of his legislation.
